My observation from the first 30 min. We need to boot Arshavin and find more time for AOC. The kid can play.

I'm pretty happy that we're going to have someone to step into Theo's spot once he gets injured or finally leaves due to not being able to play up front.

Also, Mancini just brought on Aguero in the 31st minute. If he ever complains about fixture congestion again, I'm going to put my head through a wall. I hope that club falls to pieces under the financial strain that is already upon it.

I'm not sure what that is supposed to say. Oh snap, he scored the goal?! I rather apathetic about it. My point still stands about Mancini.

As odd as it sounds, we're not good enough this year to care about the Carling Cup at all. At this point, the less games we play, the better.

Heard Frimpong went in after Nasri.

              This makes me happy.

Yeah, they got into it a bit there at the end.

Well, we weren't going to beat City with the lineup we had out there, and I expected us to lose more than 1-0. Oh, well, one less cup to have to worry about this year, and I'm glad it's the least important one.

I don't mind us losing at all and from everything I've read the result was undeserved. A Lot of people gushing over the way our youngsters played, most notably AOC.

At this point I think he should get a chance to Arshavin's place as our number one backup on the wing.

                    Mancini on Nasri:

"I think Nasri can play better than tonight. It [the booing] maybe affected him. It's not easy for him after being here for a few years. He's a very top player. When you arrive in a new team sometimes it takes to settle in. He can improve a lot because he is a champion."

Ha. Champion? I guess he's referring to the Intertoto Cup and the 2004 UEFA Under-17 Championship. I hope City are happy with their £25 million signing on the bench and being affected by the crowd which he criticized for being quiet.

Re: ***The Official Arsenal "Gunners" Thread***

The January rumors have started and other than Götze, we're being linked with Podolski.

First, not a chance Dortmund sell Götze in the Winter unless it's for a ton, which we wouldn't pay. Second, not sure if he wants to leave in the middle of the season.

As for Podolski, I'd love him on Arsenal but I also don't see Köln selling him in the Winter. Without him, they'd basically be lost as he's their only goal scoring threat. Plus, to bring him in, that means we'd move out Chamakh or at least send Park on loan.

Also, Wilshere will be back in January/February, which is like a new signing. Ha, couldn't help myself. But seriously, I think his return will be similar to RVP returning last year. He won't score the goals, but he's already strongly part of the team and it's not like bringing someone in new and waiting for them to gel with others.

Lastly, does anyone really believe we'll sign someone worth mentioning in January? As of now, I do not.

The Mexican media has linked Arsenal with Marcos Fabian

EDIT: And Wenger has declared that as rubbish

Fantastic win today. We really dominated and played just as expected. Also, goals from TV5, Arteta and Gervinho. RVP grabbed one because that is what he does, but we're definitely not a one man team.

With that being said, yesterday Wenger said it was unlikely he'd sign anyone in January.
