Could they bring Saliba in at the end of June since he is technically their player but on loan?

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
I think it’s been discussed, but ruled ineligible.
From what I recall, he’s allowed to train with the team but can’t play in matches.
If true, this sucks—BUT it is a great learning opportunity for him. Kinda like freshman going through spring ball I’d assume lol.

Saw this. Gutted, to say the least.
Arteta wasn’t able to bring in much at all in Jan, and who he does bring in is now out. Ugh.
Wonder if they (Arteta) have seen enough to want to go ahead and sign him long term anyway..

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
So, has Cedric had any injury setbacks since arriving at Arsenal?
I saw a day or so ago he’s still “two weeks away”.
It’s nearly July, meaning if no lockdown and no setbacks have occurred, we signed him knowing we wouldn’t see him play?
Seems odd..

Yep. Also, Kola in for Tierney, makes sense due to the short break between matches, but Hector still on the right.
Pepe and Laca both start.
We really need a result—not even for any slim chance of improving our league positioning, but just for morale and momentum.Comment

THIS. We HAVE to turn the corner. There are some pretty telling stats with Xhaka playing vs not playing under Arteta, so I am bummed he's out--but obviously we have more than enough talent to beat Brighton. Just need that confidence and aforementioned morale, momentum..Arsenal | New York YankeesComment

City would've won no matter what, but we at least looked like we had a plan at the start. Hoping to see the same at Brighton—a clear plan being executed and an attempt to dictate the game more than we could ever hope against City.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Essentially, we needed cover at that position, so we went for the client of an agent we have a strong relationship with. Which isn't entirely awful, but it is when that player can't even play due to injury.
Our reliance on agents could be something that holds us back, or sets us back even further. It's hard not to think about Sven Mislintat leaving the club, and with him, the strategy of not relying on agent contacts when it comes to player recruitment.Comment

What if it’s only until the end of the remaining season?

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
As I said to a friend who still supports the club, if they re-signed him because they felt he was a strong, positive locker room influence, and as an emergency backup, it's something that could be begrudgingly accepted. But I doubt his wages would match that. I'd also venture if it was just to finish out the season, the reports of the deal previously would've mentioned that. Also, it's Arsenal, so it's hard to look at it and assume they got it right.Support Local Sports
