The DriVR Elite is fantastic, but one thing I would say is to make sure you have enough clearance wherever you will be playing to swing it. Seems obvious, but it doesn't take much to lose track of where you are if you aren't constantly peeking out of your headset.

One thing I have found helpful for VR is I bought some of those mats they use for yoga and stuff where you connect the square pieces to make it however big you want/need it. So I know as long as I am standing on there I am good.

$old! Thanks Maxflier, you definitely sold me on going with the DriVR Elite. I've seen more than one reviewer now say that this club attachment is what makes the game for them.... they wouldn't bel playing without it. I just have to decide now when I can best afford to purchase the whole package.

I've got a 9 foot ceiling in my rec room with about 14 x 12 feet of free space. I was mostly worried about the overhead, but I can swing a 7-iron in the room without threatening the ceiling.

Did you leave all the weights they ship with it in the ballast chamber at the end of the club?

Do you feel enough mass there to allow you to use your regular swing with it, without feeling like you're having to force something?

Re: Golf+ meta quest vr

Not sure if they are still using the same exact washers as weights since it looks like they changed the design from when I got mine, but I used all the included weights for a while but eventually took about 7 of them out as I don't play real golf anymore so don't need the full weight of a club.
I'm sure I have mentioned it before in this thread, but if not, a word of warning if you do play real golf, playing this game without a true weighted attachment such as the Drivr Elite WILL mess up your real golf swing.

Thanks for that response. I know when I had a SimStix for my Playstation Move, I had to put lead tape on the the controller holder case to get the weight to fee right, but it was much closer to the grip than where the weight is on the DriVR Elite. I think I'll be able to do something with it that has move of golf club type "balance".

I do still play golf occasionally and I would like to get something that feels more realistic in my hands when I'm swinging. I was having a problem with my SimStix because I couldn't quite get the feel right... although it was much better than just swashing a move controller in one hand. I think I could get darn close with the DriVR Elite, looking at its dimensions and how much room there is for weight at the lower end.

Re: Golf+ meta quest vr

That's precisely why the DriVR Elite was the attachment of choice for me. Because it is longer than the normal controller attachments that usually get recommend to people and thus will be closer to the balance and feel of a real club like you said. That and previous positive experience with their products.

Haha yup. Learned that the hard way last spring, after playing golf+ throughout the winter. I will say it is a still a good way to keep your mechanics in check.
