Re: PGA Tour 2K25 Hands-On Preview - A Noticeable Improvement
How's the commentary? Do they have actually broadcast commentary or a lame person with lame repetitive one liners like in past versions of TGC and 2k Golf?
In career, will you be battling pro golfers or fictional golfer names? In career, will you be separated male and female? I should NOT be facing LPGA players in career when I am a male created player and vice versa.
Player customization, is it still very lacking on how you can customize your player, or will they allow similar customization as you would see in MLB The Show?
Is it in the works to get all four majors licenses?
If you keep bowing down and praising the developers, (NHL series) nothing they give us the consumer will ever be a "finished" product. Take a stand, it is your money!!!.

1) In career, it's Andrew Catalon and Rich Beem in the booth. The other guy, John, is still in the game in local rounds and on-course in career.
2) Real golfers are on the leaderboards...we saw that in the last Dev Diary video. All indications are that LPGA pros are also in career mode once again, as they are shown as rivals.
3) There's a demo out today that allows you to try MyPlayer creation...looks much deeper than 2K23.
4) They have 3 of the 4 majors in 2K25...PGA, US Open, and The Open. No mention of Augusta at this point.

Last thing, and thanks for letting me know about the demo, when you are playing in My Career, will it use your name or gamer tag??? As stupid as this small item is, it is a deal breaker for me as it is having the LPGA players playing in tourney's with PGA players... Make it one way or the other, not combined...
Thank you for your responses, very informative... There were a bunch of other things why I turned off 2k23 after 11 hours and spent almost 500 hours on PGA Tour, I just can't think of them all... LOL I will DL the demo and see what pops up...

Playing demo felt similar to 2k23, but almost every way better. Playing 9 holes of golf felt very satisfying, but i must say character editor was disappointing.
It feels like updated 2k23, but hopefully Career Mode is better. Based on developer diary video there is some new stuff, but it depends how well they are implemented.

There was just something so organic about the first 2 iterations of this game series. Things are getting lost in translation now. I really enjoyed not having to worry about anything but knowing the feel of the controller and just how much power to add. It really felt like golf. No strings attached!
