PGA Tour 2K25 Course Recommendations

Hey all,

Someone mentioned in another thread that it would be a good idea to post some courses that are worth looking at in PGA 2K25. I figure this could be a place where anyone can recommend a course they come across in the game, and share it with others.

Here are a few of my favorites so far in 2K25...some of these are ports from PGA 2K23 or 21:

Great idea Beach! I have played the top four on your list and they are all worthy of five stars. Ialso played Amber Oaks and gave it five stars. This afternoon, I played Yonkers Field Club, and found it to be very unique and fun to play. I'll try to play the rest on your list in the coming week. Have you tried Poppy Hills yet? I thought it looked pretty authenic and played well.

MGWT Peach Gardens V1 is from some old 3DS Mario Golf game. It was fun to experience something different. Looks different from real courses, but pretty basic on gameplay.

Thought this thread would be the best place to ask this. Can anyone tell me if you can use custom courses in that game and import them to an event in the career mode?

I don't own the game and I'm not sure how it works, but I always wanted that feature in a golf game. Especially for the majors, where it gets stale playing them at the same course or rotation of 3 courses every year, when in reality 3 of the majors have a large pool of courses they rotate from.

You can't use custom created courses in career mode. Only 2K Official courses can be used.

Thanks. Probably skipping this one again. It looks like a good game, but the VC fiasco has really turned me off of it. Custom course import would be the one incentive for me. Hopefully they revert the VC changes, then I would consider it.

The VC thing is overblown. You earn plenty to be competitive fairly quick.

I have gotten over it because it mostly gives me what I want out of the game as it stands. I play mostly in two societies, including the Operation Sports Society, and I find the level of challenge and the competition to be reasonable there. Also, for the first time ever in The Golf Club series, going back to 2014 now, I'm enjoying the career mode play. I would say that 1/3 of my play time is in the career mode. I play on a modified Pro difficulty level, taking out the swing bias on level lies and removing the rhythm component from putts. I have the AI set to "Pro" in my career mode and it is a perfect fit for me.

I do play in the Pro-Am ranked tours tournament daily and have found some folks in there who play pretty close to my game. I tend to play against their scores, and play with their ghosts in asynchronous mode just to give the game a hint of life. I occasionally will play turn-based in the ranked tours with a ghost when I have a little extra time, and that's quite enjoyable. It's also reassuring to see that I'm not the only player who 3 putts an average of 3 times per round! :}.

Yeah I'm someone who would be playing career mode 90% of the time. In the EA game I only played the daily tournaments for extra coins (whatever currency it was, they had like 5 currencies in that game) and I'd play that like 3/4 days. Those were quick though, there were like 4 holes. The 4th day in the rotation was always like hardcore mode, they didn't even have a way for you to read green elevations. I found it best to skip that one and avoid the frustration as I wasn't going to qualify for rewards anyways.

In that game I made an alternate character, put the game on easy mode, and won every tournament to get achievements and currency to upgrade my main character. So my main started in the mid 80s and was a 90+ pretty quick, but I played on a higher difficulty level on that one. Not sure if I could do the same thing in 2k25, if you can have more than one character and if they share currency.
