Read this over at the IGN forums. Apparently there's a booster disc coming for Outlaw Golf that will upgrade the game.

Although not “officially” announced by Simon & Schuster, today it was revealed through the official Hypnotix forums that a special Outlaw Golf Booster Disc is going to be released. While the full details haven’t been hammered out, that includes means of distribution, it was revealed the disc can be played on its own without actually owning Outlaw Golf. Furthermore, it was said that the disc will feature the first 9 holes of Glacier Ridge, one of the upcoming courses in Outlaw Golf 2.
Interestingly enough, it was also stated that some of the things critics of Outlaw Golf said were fixed in this booster disc. The first three screenshots of the booster disc can be seen below.
