Each ball is for certain clubs. For full wedge shots and short irons, place the ball in the middle of your stance, medium irons like your 7,6,5, place the ball slightly ahead of the middle part of your stance but not too far forward, and for long irons like 4,3, hybrids, woods, drivers, etc place the ball inside your lead foot aka off the inside of your heel.

Hope that helps!
I would recommend staying away from this. I play almost every ball the same, excluding certain wedge shots or draw/fades, or when I'm trying to really put spin on the ball. The best way to hit your irons is to find where your swing wants to go and stick to one spot. I play almost all my irons just a little forward from center in my stance, and my drives are only a small bit forward of my irons. Average distances on my Driver and irons from the other day:

Driver- 319 yards
3 Wood- 294 yards
5 Wood- 282 yards
3 Iron- 274 yards
4 Iron- 262 yards
5 Iron- 255 yards
6 Iron- 248 yards
7 Iron- 230 yards
8 Iron- 215 yards
9 Iron- 200 yards
P (47D)- 180 yards
G (52D)- 162 yards
S (56D)- 132 yards
L (60D)- 115 yards

Authentic -- Are you a pro? I'm at a lost for words after looking at those distances. Wow...

I find the irons to be unbelievable. As in I do not believe him. The difference of a 5 wood and 3 iron should be much more than 8 yards.

I hit my irons very well...my swing speed was measured at above average for the PGA tour. My ball striking was considered to be above average. Don't believe me if you want, but I'll be participating in Amatuer tournaments over this summer and already won one with a -9 score.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

I still struggle at times and am no where near being a pro caliber player. If I have a good day though, or weekend, I have the chance of shooting very low. I use a range finder and gps and have all my clubs tracked. Keep in mind, those distances are on the range, off a tee. Wind, lie, and trajectory can change a lot of things.

There is certainly no wrong or right way to play. I've played my clubs like that since I was young, I'm almost 20 now. Something I've always stuck with and felt comfortable with. I know some guys who play their drivers off their toes, instead of heels. Some guys even play their drivers and woods a bit behind their heels. It all really comes down to personal preference. Whatever feels comfortable for you and feels natural, is pretty much the way to go. Not everything in your golf swing, setup, etc should be "mechanical".

Unlike Antec, I believe those numbers. What's in your bag if you don't mind me asking?

Nike Victory Red Blades TW LE, Nike Victory Red LE Tour Driver and Woods, Nike method concept LE.

I didnt mean to say moving the ball around is bad if you're used to it, what I shouldve said was because he's just starting out he should play his irons all The same. On my phone so it sucks to type lol

Good point there. I didn't really think about that.
