Has anyone used or own the Odyssey putters? (especially the one Phil Mickelson uses?). I'm asking for the one Phil uses for my birthday and was wondering people opinions on it.
My buddy I golf with once a week has one. He loves his. Its not the one phil uses its the sabertooth one I believe
I have used it once or twice and love it. Just dont feel like dropping 100 dollars on it.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Very excited my range finder is at my doorstep! I'm playing 18 tomorrow, but I may go play a quick 9 just to try it out.

Sky, I'll give you my impressions tomorrow afternoon.

I bought an Odyssey putter last year. It's very similar to the White Ice 2-Ball F7 (looks like a spaceship). My wife is STILL teasing me about this putter, here's why.

We are beginner golfers and got a couple of solid sets of clubs from Dick's Sporting goods, about $450 or so for each of us. But we decided to go look at putters at a golf discount store. So i was putting around with different ones on their practice area in the store and tried the Odyssey. I loved it's balance and strike a lot, and it 'fit' me really well. The price tag was wrapped around the shaft and I thought it read 59.99. Great!! I had no idea what Odysseys went for or what their status was in the golf gear world, I just liked the putter so I took it to the counter.

They rang me up and total was about 170.00! I was gobsmacked and lifted up the putter and took a closer look at the tag.....and finally saw that '1' on there in front of the 59.00. LOL

I bought the thing anyway, but I DO love using it. It helps to elevate my putting from crappy to passable. I'm sure you'll love yours.

I'm not sure what one he uses, but I have the 2-Ball White Steel and I will never use another putter. I've loved it ever since I got it about 4 years ago. It has great balance, and having the two-ball thing behind the ball actually does help me with alignment. Got a good deal on it off of eBay too!

Yeah, but only up to a point. We call it "talent juice". We also have an aid we call "aiming spice".

That's funny... yeah the nice putters are very expensive. But it does help, my putting is somewhat passable now. Lucky for me, I got mine for my birthday a couple years ago.

I don't drink beer while I play. Only water or Gatorade/Powerade.

Now on the 19th hole....

Haha good deal...I played 27 holes today, we got 9 holes free. Played first 18 well, but last 9 went way downhill.
