Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Well, snow again so golf on hold for a while.
However I thought I'd share my 1st round since hip replacement is in the books.

No range work other than hitting about 20 balls before teeing off...

45 front and a 44 back...
The 45 front was with 3 7's mostly caused by not hitting greens and a poor short game. (blade/chunk pitch shots/chips etc.)

I'm mainly happy I went 18 without pain.

The other plus is my distances have increased with woods.
My irons I never really swing hard but just smooth so not sure where they fully stand.
We just had a new golf place open up 10 minutes from my house that have 3 full simulation bays so I'll be hitting them pretty regularly.

Anyways I thought I'd share and hope everyone has a great season upcoming.

The way my golf game is, I think my golf shoes were made by Charles Barkley...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

1pm tee time today..
I know I need to keep my expectations low but I am hoping for a good day.
Balls aren't going to get any roll due to all the rain/snow so it will play a bit longer today
but I'm still excited to see what happens.

How did you play?

I’ll be in California from Sat-Tues this weekend for a funeral on Monday. I’m going by myself so I’m taking my clubs with me. Plan is to play 9 holes Saturday evening and 18 holes on Tuesday morning. Can’t wait to hit off some grass and gauge where my game is. I’ve spent a lot of time at the range this winter.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Woot!
Shot an 84.. SOOO dang close to breaking 80 but so far lol

44 front and 40 back.
Temp tee's a tad closer but I'm still taking it Lol

If I can keep from having a wild shot here and there I could do it.

I missed a couple short putts that I took for granted. Idiot.
If I don't get the elusive 79 this year I'll be pretty broken...

Back to work until Sunday but....
My issue right now is more snow tonight and a week or so AGAIN of nothing but rain and wintery mix..

So sick of the wet weather but again we just had an idoor range with full simulation bays so I'll be in there quite often until weather breaks for the better..

EDIT: Forgot to add the Rogue 3W is a monster.
I had still gamed my TM Jet Speed as it was a fairway finder but ended up buying a store demo model at Dick's for 175.00 after I had hit it some at a Golf Galaxy a while back but never jumped at it.
The ball simply jumps off the club.

To be continued:

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

I am so jealous. We are on an extended cold streak with snow so I can't even get to the range. -44C tonight but hopefully by mid next week we are plus temperatures again, at least then I can hit the range. We have about 3 feet of snow to get rid of before the courses can even think about opening.

Keep posting your stories as I am living vicariously through you all.

I go to Myrtle Beach in 2 weeks and the weather looks to be crap for that time. Hopefully when I when I get back, all the snow is gone. This winter had dragged on, I'm itching to get out there.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Finally getting some temps around 0 so hopefully the snow starts to melt. May try to hit the range this weekend to see if I can shake off a little rust, although I may need a sandblaster to get rid of some.
