After all the adjustments you have to make a slow swing. Slow to the point where the game resets your backswing because you took too long. Have to be precise and you can overswing

Shortly after I posted, somehow I got a double eagle lol. I'm getting a little better, including hitting the flagstick a couple times, but I still need to practice. I did, however, get the course mastery Silver for Whistling Straits thanks to your tips.

Good post. Going to give this a try. I had no idea that you could adjust anything by looking at the lie. I would attempt to compensate for it coming off of the club face due to the lie by adjusting my aiming to the left and right of the flag.

My approach shots have been rough, my chipping is ok, but my putting is rough. I am a 2 putter on average and it is killing my score.

With putting you can hold your backswing as long as you like and just flick forward when you are perfect and you will do fine. Also you can let go of the swing stick if you don't like your backswing speed. You don't have to fully commit on any putt til you are ready.

Awesome tutorial man! This is my first TW game since...maybe 08 so I'm a bit lost with the true swing mechanics.

Any other tips for a true noob?

You don't have to play that way, it is a little unrealistic, but I just try to do a natural motion.
