Anyone playing using PS3 MOVE?
If anyone has been playing with the ps3 move controllers, drop a few impressions here if you don't mind. Ive been on the fence about this game for a while, and if i do buy it, considering using the move to play it.Tags: None -

Re: Anyone playing using PS3 MOVE?
I've used move with 14 now. It takes some practice getting used to the controls (setting up shots, etc), but it works. It's not as intuitive and smooth as the wii motion plus controls were, but the draw back to the wii games was that you HAD to use motion controls, no classic controller options. With the ps3 it's not the central focus so it's like it's treated as more of an add-on feature.
It's enjoyable enough that I'll break out the move controller every now and again for a quick 9 hole practice round (in 13, and now in 14). I wouldn't try playing your entire career mode that way.Comment

Thanks for sharing your view on that. I thought a lot of people would be jumping to use the improved or not so improved motion controllers with this year's version, but alas all I've see people say so far, is what you said about not opting to use the move controller for a full career.I've used move with 14 now. It's worth purchasing a Move controller if you don't have it. Who knows, maybe you'll end up liking it more and using it as your primary method. Thanks for sharing your view on that. Re: Anyone playing using PS3 MOVE?
Can you (or anyone else) comment on how the putting is with the move? Last year the swings felt and responded fairly well, but for me I could never get the putting down. I would either putt it 2 inches or blast it 40 feet...I felt like I had everything set up right and wasn't doing anything wrong, but I could never get it. I loved using the move, and if I could figure out how to putt with it (or if they fixed an issue), then I wouldn't mind playing quite a bit with it.Guns Up, Wreck 'em Tech!

Re: Anyone playing using PS3 MOVE?
I find the Move slightly more difficult and less forgiving than last year on expert swing, which is a good thing. I only play expert so that's all I can offer on swing difficulties. I also find the putting a little more smoother than last year but chipping and putting does seem more touchy so you do have to be very careful.
As for playing career exclusively with the Move, I see no problems with that. I did that last year because I found using the controller too forgiving and it got boring fast. As long as you have no problem with getting off your butt every night to swing the wand then it's pretty serviceable in career mode. At least you're getting some exercise.
My advice is put the AI difficulty on easy to better compete because I found it difficult to be shooting mid 60's consistently and I thought I was pretty good with it after awhile. Just remember to set the strike meter on perfect because there's a bug in there where you can't move the strike meter left or right with the wand. Setting it on perfect will still allow you to move the meter up or down like last year. That's an easy workaround for now until the patch comes (whenever that is because nothing much has been said lately).Comment

So if I wanna be a cheapskate.... TW 13 + MOVE + Expert level is a good experience?I find the Move slightly more difficult and less forgiving than last year on expert swing, which is a good thing. Re: Anyone playing using PS3 MOVE?
Yup.That sounds about right. I haven't played that much with the Move this year (having too much fun with the controller this year) as there seems to be a bigger distance penalty if you don't hit it flush so career mode is not as fun because it's easier to really blow up a hole or 2 which totally takes you out of the tourney pretty quick (I guess I could go to a lower difficulty level but my ego won't let me.)
Last year's expert I never encountered that problem most of the time and career mode was fun that way. I would range between +5 and -5 most times. This year I really have to concentrate just to par every hole and can easily shoot 90 if I'm sloppy.Comment

Re: Anyone playing using PS3 MOVE?
See.... I would like that. I think that a golf game with virtual capabilities should emulate the real game as much as possible.Comment

Same here. Played with the move a few times and I find the putting to be very hard this year with puts blowing 15 feet past the hole on every minor mistake. I don't understand why we don't get the putting meter since playing a round is much more difficult than with the controller anyways !
