The Golf Club(PC) ???

I'm thinking of purchasing this game for my Dad for Christmas. He's always enjoyed games on his computer and had been playing the Link's golf game for years.

A couple of questions:

1) Will he get more out of "The Golf Club" if I purchase him an Xbox controller to play the game? Is it possible to play the game with a keyboard and mouse? Is it as fun or challenging that way?

2) His computer has all the necessary requirements except for one. His computer uses a Windows XP operating system. All the other requirements are top notch. I doubt he would be willing to upgrade to Windows 7+ because he just prefers what he's been use to for many years. Will he be able to play this game on a Window's XP operating system?

1) Use a controller 100000%, do not use mouse and keyboard.

2) He will be fine with XP I believe.

Great game, best out there IMO and always improving.

Windows Vista is the minimum OS the game will accept. Additionally, it requires a DirectX 11 compatible video card, a fact that seems to get by a lot of folks.

Ah. Your right, forgot about vista.

I would recommend upgrading the OS regardless. XP is very outdated and I'm sure you can scoop up windows 7 for a good price.

Would be worth it just for the game.
