So looking to upgrade my clubs finally....can some explain how the parameters Forgiveness and swing plane affect the results of my swing?
I typically will end up a little fast and pull things left, on the top guage, but will also hit my forward swing between 12-1 o'clock and push it to the right. Sometimes these cancel out, and sometimes i only get one or the other.
I'd rather fix the 'Fast' by having a wider white area at the top of that bar, but not sure which parameter actually gives me a bitter timing sweetspot.
Also, is the 'timing' different when you try and shape a shot? Everytime I try and shape it, I 'miss' my timing towards the side that the ball is being swung out to. If I'm trying to hit a bigger fade (left to right shot) I will almost always swing 'fast' thus pushing the ball to the left to begin with and then hitting the rough. If its a 'draw' type shot I'll hit 'slow' and same effect the other direction then.
One last thing is there a trick to be able to hit more than 150yds out of anything that isnt the fairway? Sometimes I'll be in the first cut of rough, its literally just a slightly longer fairway not even rough length, and still stuck around 150 yds for my 2nd shot which just kills some par 5s.
