Is there an option to take out the flag when putting in pga 2k21

Yes...there's an option called "Pin Preference" in the Difficulty settings where you can set to have the pin left in or pulled out when putting. But you can manually do it while playing a round, too. I think it's the Square button on PS4.

Correct. Make sure you take it out I have missed a few putts that were dead in that bang off the flag and refuse to drop.
