Re: EA Sports PGA TOUR Delayed

They can take all the time they need to get this one right. Don't release a half-baked game like Rory. Besides, there's still no firm release date for PGA 2K? at this point either.

The assumption is that PGA 2K23 would come out next August, but neither 2K or HB are saying a darn thing. If 2K follows suit with how they did the release of 2K21, we wouldn't know a new game is coming out until May 2022, if their plan is to release it in August of '22.

I would guess that EA's game is likely going to come out now around US Open time. It's a disappointment that their big front cover highlight - the Masters - will pass by with no new golf game available.

Haha, thank you. What is intrigued about is how long the delay is… If it’s an entire year it gives people way more time to get a ps5 and more profit.

Might just be a few months though. I feel like we will get something around Augusta now. A trailer during the Masters would hold me over.

Sadly, it was predicted by experts a few months ago. I wrote about it at one time, game companies were thinking of delaying to publish their games due to the microchip shortage, not enough customers are able to buy the new generation consoles. So instead of having poor sale numbers, here we are. On the other hand, it will give EA more time to add contents.

I’ll gladly wait if it means a deeper game at launch!

Re: EA Sports PGA TOUR Delayed

I suppose it's not all that surprising considering it's not actually all that far away from Spring, and we haven't seen even a bullshot screen of the game yet. I am actually leaning toward the 2023 crowd on this, especially considering if they can't get it out by July/August, it's getting to the end of the golf season anyway and they might as well just wait at that point.

As others have said, it's fine with me either way. I doubt I'll have a next-gen system at any point in the next year anyway.
