What do game sales look like compared to console sales... If 13mil consoles were sold but a lot are hoarded and people still cant buy in stores on-demand, then that 13mil probably doesn't tell you the whole picture.

Nobody is hunting down a PS5 or XSX, whatever the cost, just to play the newest EA PGA game.

^^You are exactly right.

If 2k isn't working on a nex gen advancement for the current PGA Tour 2k21, and just working on fixing stuff and some other enhancements (I'll still buy it on opening day if that's all it is), then they would be very wise to release whatever they have by early spring. EA is very wise to wait until just about anyone can get a PS5, and has had one for awhile.

It would be dumb for them to rush their game and release it in the Spring just to get it out there before the Masters.

Same. I’m waiting until I can order online with ease for retail price or simply walk into Walmart and get a ps5. Not playing the rat race.

I wish EA would give us a new timeline though.

I'd make it 3 if I didn't already have a Series X. I think they could easily make a game that would play to both generations though. The PS4 and XBox One versions could run at 1080p, while the PS5 and Series X/S versions could run at 4K and 1440p, respectively, at 60 FPS with other advanced graphics options in effect, like ray tracing on the current gen. I really think that would be the best solution for all.

Bad wording, so I updated my post. Volt, you already admitted as such that you're waiting until its simple to get one. And even if you were willing to hunt for one on every site or pay upcharge just to have one, OS doesn't represent EAs overall target audience. People stress out about getting a new console to play Halo or Spidey... Not EA PGA Tour. Those games can afford to release whenever they want, because people buy the console just to play the game on time, tens of thousands. There's probably under 200 people who would buy a console just to play this game on time.

I'm going to wait and see the reviews for the game in this forum and online. If the game gets really good reviews which I certainly hope it does, then I'll buy the PS5 just for it as well. The only other game I can even think of for the PS5 is The Show. Everything else that I'm interested in I can play on the PC.

Yeah it's kind of crazy to buy a console for basically one game, but that's how much I want a really good next gen golf game...
