That was an excellent tribute to your captain - you illustrated a CAPTAIN so well, Hursty - well done. I love how you give your characters a breath, like everyone matters - good stuff bud.

I agree, you really make us feel like he is the captain.

That was AWESOME Hurst i can't wait until the next one, and as for liking to many teams. I've liked the Wings since i was born and the Stars since i was 7 (the first hockey team i played for was the Mt. Clemens Stars)

that doesn't matter. it just means you've been a sports bigamist for a long time. i find this unacceptable.

great job with this, hurst. totally agree with matt10 when he says you put a new personality for each and every character.

My only concern is that toews seems TOO MEAN to be a captain, haha. Like, it's almost as if he's on a bloodlusty rampage, and if any of his teammates get in the way of his dirty work, he'll kill them too--especially bryan!!

Either way, great job, as usual.

Remember they were playing Detroit. The most hated team amongst the Blackhwaks.

true, but at least I would never EVER EVER EVER respect, follow, or even play alongside with, a man who's temper raged so furiously that he seemed as if he would kill us all if we lost to a team, even if it was my teams' most hated rivals.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Hurst's BAP, though, haha. He does such a great job, regardless.

I respectfully disagree, I think Hurst captured it spot on.

Detroit-Chicago is unlike anyhting I have EVER seen, well, except a few argentinian soccer matches...

But it is the most heated rivalry I know of inside the US.

i'm not saying that hurst didn't capture the rivalry dead on. I'm not even saying that he captured toews in the wrong way, either.

I was just saying that he's too mean to be a captain, rofl. I said that I would never follow a guy like him, because he is simply too mean. Even his "compliment" reminds me of Hurst's AHL Coach, and not the way an NHL captain should be, at leas to me.

again, I'm not trying to say that Hurst didn't do a fantastic job. In fact, sayingt that he did anything less than a fantastic job would be hurtful to his work. I was just saying that he seems to mean.

But then again, I have yet to see the way he behaves in other game scenarios. Maybe it's just Detroit? I don't know, and in fact, only one man here does, and that's our wonderful author.
