Ottawa Gets 3 Points In 2 Tough Back To Back Games

Heatley has been slumping as of late.

Highlights v. Pittsburgh
1. Alfredsson scores a soft shorthanded goal.
2. Kovalchuck is just too fast; another SHG.
3. Staal scores a one timer off of Sykora.
4. Zetterberg scores to put us up 3-1 at the end of the second.
5. Pittsburgh pulls Fleury and Metropolit scores with not enough time left to get a second.

Highlights v. Buffalo
1. Philips scores with a slap shot through a screen.
2. Spezza intercepts the puck and gives it to Setoguchi who breaks away and scores.
3. Roy scores a soft goal off a faceoff.
4. Roy scores again to tie it up.
5. The game goes to a SO, where Roy (Fricken A') scores on the fifth try to win it for Buffalo.

GM's Thoughts: I think the game against Pittsburgh tired us out. The line of Malkin, Crosby and new comer Cheechoo was frightening. Their team is fast like ours, which makes it tough but fun to play. We have to slow the game down if we want to get a more convincing win. Roy was a beast, and after Miller got his legs, he did a headstand. We scores early, and they slowly came back. We spent too much time in the box both games, which made it harder to score. Auld was the reason it went to a SO, but he kept us in the SO, but we were too tired and couldn't score. Our current record is 61-4-0-4, one win less from the 95-96 Red Wings record.

really? I can only think of the Modin Boyle and Richards deals are it no bad D Day deals this year.
