Sadly, the hospital had started to become my home. They ran tests on my leg to make sure there was nothing that was going to kill me, like blood clots or something like that. So I've been here for about 3 weeks now.

I had been able to walk, or rather limp around the hospital, as though I knew it like the back of my hand now. I was sitting around the check in counter with Denise, a 19 year old nurse who had been stuck there.

"Sup Denise, how's everything going" I asked.

"Same old, same old, what about you?" she responded.

"My leg is starting to feel a bit better, but I won't be out of here in a while" I said.

"Oh that sucks, but at least I've got some company, for the last 4 hours, I've only gotten to talk to worried parents or sick little kids, I'm bored out of my mind" she sighed.

"Why didn't you just text me then?" I questioned.

"Read the sign" she said while pointing at the sign on the opposite side of her desk.

It read "Please turn off all celular phones when in the premisses".

"Danmit" I said while fiddling in my sweatpants pocket for my cell.

Then suddenly a women, that looked just about my age was rushed inside and layed on a bed just opposite of us. She seemed awake but was totally out of it. One of the hospital workers walked up to Denise and I.

"She over partyed, but luckily she doesn't have alcohol poisoning" he suddenly turned to me. "Can you talk to her please".

"Umm, why me" I asked with a confused look on my face.

"Well, just do it anyways, don't question my antics boy" he said.

"Paul, your lucky I've got nothing else to do" I said as I walked towards her.

"Paul, your not trying to set Jason up on a date, now are you?" Denise asked.

"Look, I know Kate, she's a good kid, she's been betrayed by jerks before, and I just think Jason would be good for her" Paul responded.

"I see your point Paul, lets watch what happens" Denise said while gazing at Kate and I.

"Hey, how are you doing" I nervously asked.

"hmm, oh, I'm doing okay I guess" she responded. She had bright blond air and sparkling blue eyes. I began just staring into her eyes, she was so beautiful.

"Umm, you okay there buddy" she said while laughing.

"Oh, sorry I'm fine" I said while smilling.

"So, what are you in here for" she asked. I tried lifting up my leg but I had a metal cast instead of the normal cast.

"Ouch, so I was wondering, you want to hang out later in the food court in the hospital" she asked, now leaning up in the bed.

"Umm, sure" I responded. I then turned and walked back to Denise as Paul had work to do.

"So, what's she like?" Denise asked.

"I don't know, she's really nice and has a sense a humour I guess" I responded.

"Ahh, that's good Jason, hope you have fun" Denise said.

"Wait wha-" I began to say before being ambushed back into my hospital bed by the nurse.
