Re: Welcome to Blue Land - An Atlanta Thrashers Dynasty (NHL 2K8)

Hope you turned the trades 'on' from the start because if you turn them 'off' like I did, thinking I could toggle back and forth to regulate player movement...the game freezes. Ghey...so I'm the only team in the NHL that trades now......oh well...2k8 still rules.

Minnesota will probably turn out real well with Jagr on the squad...this game is great as far as how a team will fair based on the talent it has during simmed games. Really adds to the whole experience.

Oh...I also had to turn injuries off as I got a freeze due to that as well...oh 2k

Oh...and Recchi was a hot starter in my season too...but def. calmed down.

Thrashers Notes

Early this morning it was announced that Mathieu Dandeneault (who was acquired earlier in the year from the Montreal Canadiens) was traded to the Buffalo Sabres for Swedish defenceman Henrik Tallinder.

"I felt that Zach [Bogosian] needed a veteran to learn from and Henrik is just that. He's also under contract for two more years, so that's a bonus" said GM Jim Nill in a statement

"I was surprised to be traded, but I am excited to be going to an up and coming team in Atlanta" Tallinder said.

Tallinder is expected to be in the line up against the Lightning in the next game.

In other news, Sergei Fedorov is only a few days from returning to the line up. "My foot has felt good over the last couple days, I am really hoping I can play when the team comes back to Atlanta"

Next Game: @ Tampa Bay Lightning (6-5-1) 9th in East

Season Series (TB 2-0-0)
Tampa Bay has outscored Atlanta 10-7

lookin good, but don't trade so much that your team loses its personality...know what I mean.

I know what you mean. This is probably the team I will take with me for the rest of the year. I like a team that has skill and the ability to move the puck. I will probably just leave the fourth line the way it is with Slater. I want to try and develop him into a scorer, not just a checker. I also like a team with veterans and young guys. I have found though that Allison, while skilled is slow. Tallinder has been a good acquisition. He has made my team much better defensively. And as you will see in the next few recaps, my top line has gone on a real tear. I love my top line!!!
