I returned to Albany as soon as I could after our game in Springfield, as I promised to Sara.
Unfortunately, I don't have a license, so I called a cab to take me to her apartment, where she lived alone.
I told the cab driver where I needed to go. As we were going I asked if he could turn on the radio. He did.
"Our top news story. The legendary 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson has passed away. It is being said by two sources, the hospital in LA, and his family, that he died due to cardiac arrest."
Wow. I had only heard a little about Michael when I was younger, but I knew he was famous worldwide.

I think we were a block away from the apartment buildings Sara lived in, when my phone rang.
"Hello." I answered.
"Hey Mattias, it's Jeff, I need you to come to my office so we can discuss some matters."
"Umm Coach, I'm kind of in the middle of something, can we talk later?"
"Nah, come on, what could be more important than hockey?
"Well..." I was going to say my girlfriend, but I'm pretty sure that he'd bench me if I did.
"Ok, I'm on my way." I sighed.
Sara's going to be mad now, I promised I'd go to her place when I got back.
"Driver, I'm sorry. I've got change of plans. I need you to take me to the arena."
He didn't say anything, instead just turned around and started towards the arena.
When we got there, I paid the driver the amount, and gave him a $10 tip for the sudden change of plans.
I bolted it up to Coach's office, and walked in without knocking.
"Ok Coach, what is it?" I asked
"I'll make this quick if your in such a rush. Your a point per game player right now, so I'm moving you up to the second line so you can be more than a point per game player."
"Oh wow, thank you very much Coach, but, umm.. how much is 'more?'
"Hmm, well it depends, we'll see how you do next game."
"Ok, well, thanks again, I got to go now."
I ran out of the office, and outside the arena. I called another cab, and headed back towards Sara's place.
I know it wouldn't have happpened yet, but the part about Michael Jackson is just my little way of commemorating him.
