Sorry this hasn't been updated for a while, I've been pretty busy lately (city championships in soccer and basketball camp). I'll try to update either tonight or tommorrow.

Game 6 at Manchester Monarchs

I'll be honest, I didn't play my best game last night. Maybe it was because we had played the night before and I'm tired, maybe it was because my head just wasn't in the game, but I played my worst game of the season by far. I was missing the net when I had good chances to score, I was missing checks and I was turning the puck over. I don't know what was wrong with me. It wasn't just me, either. A lot of us were just plain bad. I still have no idea how we were able to pull out a 3-2 shootout victory.

Manchester came out strong, scoring an early goal against us while I was on the ice. They also scored a couple minutes later to go up 2-0 and they held the lead after one. They were pretty weak goals too. Once was a far snap shot that our goalie somehow missed, the other was a shot that he got a piece of and still went in the net. Needless to say, he definately wanted those goals back.

There was no scoring in the second period either, so the score remained 2-0 going into the third. Manchester was able to keep their lead for a while too, as we didn't score until about four minutes left in the game to make it 2-1. The score stayed that way until there was a minute left in the game and we pulled our goalie. I was the extra attacker, and we really couldn't get another shots until there was 10 second left. I carried the puck into the zone and took a desperation slap shot. It was a weak one but the rebound came right to our teammate in front who banged it in to send the game into overtime.

There was no scoring in overtime, so it went to a shootout. I was shooting second and both team's first shooters scored before I shot. I messed up on my move, trying to go backhand-forehand, and missed. Our fourth shooter scored, putting the pressure on them, but they would score to extend it. But our fifth shooter would score and theirs didn't, and we won.

Game 7 vs. Worchester Sharks

Now I know what Tony Romo feels like. It's defintely harder playing while your girlfriend's watching than when she's not. That's right, Jessica came to my game. It's too bad we didn't give her a lot to get excited about, as we lost 3-0 against the Worchester Sharks. The worst part was we had so many chances, but couldn't score.

They scored once in the first two periods and then twice in the third period. We definately deserved to win, though. We had to have had at least 15 more shots on goal than them, but is seemed whenever they had a good scoring chance they would put it in the back of the net. I hit the post twice and still had 7 shots on net. The puck just didn't seem to want to go to into their net.

"Good try," said Jessica after the game. "You had a lot of chances."

"Thanks," I said, "but close only counts in curling and horseshoes."

"Haha, you're funny," she said. "Wanna go out for dinner."

"Sure. I'll pay."

Re: Overcoming Adversity-The Career of Clarke Ainsley

Dinner with Jessica

We went to a fancy Italian resturant and had a great dinner. The service was great, and we had a great time. We got to talk about a lot of things, like our interests our hobbies, interests, our favourite shows, stuff like that. We seem to have a lot in common.

Then after that, we went on a long walk by the river. The view was beautiful. Even though it started to rain, it didn't ruin our mood. We got into a perfect romantic place and was about to start kissing when...

"HEY!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY GIRL!!!!!!!"

I turned around and saw a tall man with long blond hair racing towards me. Before I knew, he was on me like a linebacker, and he was atttempting to punch me.

"You...stay...away...from..her," he said, and got me with a right. He stood up and ran to Jessica.

"Are you alright?" he said. "What did he do to you."

"Me?" I said. "I did nothing. You're the one who started attacking me."

"You were messing with my women."

"No I wasn't. She's my girlfriend."

"Girlfriend?" he said stunned. He turned to Jessica. "What's going on here?" he said.

Jessica backed up into a corner and started crying.
