My next update is kind of violent. I think it'll be okay though.

Re: Overcoming Adversity-The Career of Clarke Ainsley

Dinner with Jessica (continued)

"WHY YOU!!!!" said the man, and wacked her in the face. "HOW DARE YOU!!! YOU LITTLE S***. I'LL KILL YOU!!!" He wacked her in the face and she fell to the ground crying.

"What the heck did you just do??" I cried.

"I'm teaching her a lesson. And if you don't mind you own business, I'll do the same to you."

The guy did look kind of tough. He was big and strong and had a nasty look on his face. He's the type of the game I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley. But what other choice did I have? Stand here and let him beat up this girl? I wasn't going to stand for that.

As he walked over to do something else to Jessica, I snuck up from behind him and put him in a cholkhold and threw him down. He got out of it however and got on top of me and punched me right in the cheek. I was a little winded but recovered quickly as I dodged another one of his punched and rolled to the ground.

I jumped up and dodged another punch. He quickly grabbed me and ran me into a tree. He attempted a punch throwing all of his might into it, going for the knockout punch. I dodged it, and his hand went straight into the tree. He screamed in pain, his eyes went all big, use your imagination. I used the oppurtuinity go grab him and him head first into the tree. He quickly passed out, but I didn't even wait to see if he way okay.

I ran over to Jessica, who was still lying on the ground.

"Are you alright??" I said.

"Y-ye-yes, I th-think I'm o-okay," she said slowly.

"What's going on between you two?" I asked.

"W-we were d-dating for over a y-year now, b-but I hated e-every minute of it. I o-once said we should b-bre-break up and h-he....

She burst into tears.

"It's okay, it's okay," I said, trying to comfort her.

"He h-held a g-g-g-gun to m-my f-face," she wimpred.

"Oh my god."

"I was always s-scared to dump him every s-since, but I h-hated going out with him. Then I s-saw you and t-thought that m-maybe...that I c-could, you know, g-get away from him."

"Thats terrible. I'm so sorry."

I hugged her as she continued to cry.

"Look, let's get out of her," I said, "we'll go to my apartment."

We called a cab and got the heck out of there. I feel terrible about what happened to Jessica, but now hopefully he was gone and we could get back with our relashionship.

I better get some sleep though, I have a game tommorrow...

Re: Overcoming Adversity-The Career of Clarke Ainsley

At my Apartment

When we got back to my apartment, it was pretty quiet. We kind of just sat their in silence. We both didn't know what to say I guess. We had just been through a lot. Eventually, I made a late dinner and we ate in silence again. I got ready to go to bed, and just as I was about to fall to sleep, Jessica spoke up.

"Hey, Clarke?" she said.

"Yeah?"

"I have something to tell you."

"What?"

"Well, there's more to the whole Tom story.

"Is Tom that d***** back at the park?"

"Y-yeah. Anyways, before I met him, well m-my m-mom and dad..." She sniffed and fought back tears. "They d-d-died in a c-car c-cra-crash." She couldn't hold it back any longer. She burst into tears. Man this was an emotional night.

Once she got it out all out, she continued.

"T-Tom was the *sniff* only person I could go to. I didn't know anyone else. He seemed like a nice guy at time, but over the months, I knew, I knew..."

All of a sudden she had a mean look on her face. "I knew that he was truly the definition of h***."

"So..so you're..." I started.

"An orphan?" she continued. "Yes, I am. I have nowhere else to go."

There was a long, awkward silence and then I said, "Well, you got me now. You can live with me now."

"R-really?" she asked. "B-but what about when you guys go on the road?"

"Oh, it's fine. I'm sure they'll let you come with me, people bring their girlfriends all the time."

All of sudden her arms were around me and she was giving me hugs and kisses.

"Thank you, thank you so much," she exclaimed.

She couldn't stop thanking me.

"It's really no problem, I said, "....baby."

There was a big smile on her face, and we then we had a long make out. That was then followed by a long night of you-know-what. I had to get some sleep though, our plane left tommorrow.

Jessica sounds like high maintenance! Kick her *** to the curb before Tom hunts you down!
