A GM Story:Peter Carey (GMH 09)

Peter Carey, the 30 year old retired NHL star (Injury) has sent in an application to the league in hopes of continuing his hockey career but as a GM.

Him, and others, had been asked to send in a 10 question survey to help teams "match" them. Today we are going to take a look at what Peter Carey had to say:

1.We often hear that NHL players become their own "Small Companies"- What do you think of that Statement.
PC: I don't care too much- If they want to advertise then let it be as long as they are in good condition and performing well for me.

2.Which Book would we most likely find on your desk?

PC:A Great GM's biography. It is a great book that can almost always help me out when I am completely stuck.

3.What kind of salaries will you offer?

PC: I tend to offer the best possible but it is a different story if I'm up against Cap or cannot spen too much.

4.What do you think is the most difficult part of being a GM?
PC:Closing transactions with my players. I will try and run my team as well as possible but I do believe that is my weakness.

5.How much should your best defenseman play per game?

PC: Around 20 minutes. Our "D-Man" can make a huger difference and they need to be at their best regardless of ice time.

6. How about ice time for your best player?
PC:It all depends. If we are playing a rival or a better team I will need them to play alot if not they may not need to.

7.How often do you use the waiver System?
PC: Sometimes. If someone interesting is on the "Wire" you better believe I will get them.

8. East or West Conference?
PC:As of now, it does not matter, I just want a job but I would prefer the East.

9. What county do you think develops the best prospects?
PC: Canada but I think that Russia does great and the Swede's will be great this year.

10. Do you think there should be more Conference Vs. Conference games?

PC: Yes, they add excitement and give the fans what they want.

It is believed that Mr. Carey will make his choice tomorrow on which team he would like to lead. Ducks, Islanders, Lightning, and Rangers are all possibilities according to the former NHL star.

I downloaded this demo...and I didn't find it that fun. But it will be interesting to see your interpretation of the game and how story will unfold.

It seemed cool at the beginning with the questions and stuff, but
A. It hated my computer. Don't know why, but it did.
B. EHM just seems better to me.
However, I will follow this. It looks interesting.

Peter Carey, former NHL star, is set to take over Long Island

Today, The New York Islanders found a deep interest in Peter Carey's profile. Therefore he is set to become the new GM of the New York Islanders.

"It is very exciting for me
, This team has so much hidden talent and it should be a fun journey to bring them back to the top."

Garth Snow has been fired due to this transaction but Carey states that he will still have a role on this team. Yet, we are not sure what that is.

Carey was hired just one day before the 2009 Entry Draft and has shown no signs on whether he will take Super Star, Johnny Tavares or if he will take the big Swede in Victor Hedmen.
