ACT TWO:
'Eye Of The Storm'
PART ONE:
'Shifting Gears'

I JOLTED AWAKE to the sound of the phone ringing. I ease my eyes open, to see Hayley. It seems we rolled over and our foreheads started to lean on eachother.
I lifted her arm off my side and rolled out of the bed. Stumbling to the phone, I picked it off the reciever.

'Hello?'
'Killer! How yeah doing, bud?' It was Coach.
'Alright, kinda dizzy'
'You had the hell of a hit out there, but nice job!'
'Tha-'
'Listen, I need you and Gib down here at noon. The meeting is today, not tomorrow!' He interuppted.
'Alright, sir. No problem.'
'Great!' He boomed. 'See you soon'
Click. He hung up.

I looked at the clock. 11:30.
I wandered to the fridge and stopped. 11:30? ****!

I dashed to Cody's room and open the door. The two were still in there, covers pulled up past there chests. No doubt they were naked. Hence the underwear on the floor.
I grabbed a black elastic and shot it at his face, hitt him in the closed eye.

'Ohh..' He moaned, peeking a bit. 'Dick move, man'
'Meeting. Twenty minutes. Get up, get dressed, and put her back where you found her' I told him.
'On the couch?' He asked.
I thought. 'True. Fine, get her dressed too'

I closed the door and sprinted back to my room.
Just as I finished putting on my pants, Hayley opened her eyes.

'Oh, good morning' I greeted her.
She looked at herself, sprawled over my side of the bed. 'Sorry, I didn't lean on you or hold you or anything, did I?' she questioned.
'Well, yes. But I didn't care, it felt nice'
'Yeah, I haven't slept beside for a long while, and I guess I just..'
I walk to her side. 'Shush. I don't care.' I grabbed her hand and pulled her out of bed. 'Now, get dressed. We're going to be late for 'the meeting'.'
'The meeting?' She asked, grabbing her sweater.
'Yes...'
She raised an eyebrow.

I frowned. '....The scout meeting'

PART TWO:
'Called Out'

'HOW DO YOU like the back seat?' Cody joked as we started to pull out of the parking lot.
'It's fine, cause I'm not a little wimp' I smiled.

He was driving, and....
whatsername...was beside him. I was sitting with Hayley in the back.

It doesn't take us too long, and with two minutes to spare. We got up there and entered the lobby. Everyone was chattering, and Coach was about to begin. The three men stood behind him, looking like the fricken CIA.

'Welcome team. Amazing win last night, and all three men here were impressed.'
The whole team nodded.

The first guy, on the left stood forward.
'The men staying and playing for the Marlies are:
Joe Marque
Perry Richards
Jack Goldman
and Brandon Steinbar'

Uh-oh I thought. They were all tossed Toronto Marlies Jerseys and sat away to the sides. I looked around at everyone. I stopped when I hit the two women.
Whatsername was checking her nails, but Hayley went pale, and her mouth fell open. Ohh no...

With a nod of approvement from Coach, the Second one stepped up. He was the only one not wearing a tie, and the only with a silver briefcase.

'Hello. I'm from the south. Norfolk Admirals, the AHL team for Tampa Bay.
I'd like to inform you that the following will be coming with me, if agreed:
Cody Gibson
Kyle Growe
Steven McFront
Billy Joe Killer

YES! We were together! I knew it! But...Tampa? We were tossed our jerseys. We sat down at the bench and looked at eachother. Cody shook nodded his head in the other direction. I looked over to see Hayley, looking around the floor. She was upset?

I go over to her while they were annoucing the Quad City players.

'What's wrong?' I asked.
'Oh, nothing. I didn't think you guys would leave...' She straightened up. 'Not that I really mind' She says, sniffy.
I looked at her.
'Okay fine, I'll miss you. Happy?'
'Yeah, unless you wanna come?'
She stopped. 'I...I don't know..I mean, I'd like t-..I can't leave famil-..' She stammered.
'Whatever, It's fine. I'll just go play. I'll miss you too.'
She shrugged.
'C'mon, I'll take you home'

Later.....

We collapsed on the couch and turned on TSN. It was some random Billiards show. We switched it to some War movie and thought. We were told we'd get an email for plane information and where we'll be located. They had a room set out for us and everything!
It's a downer that the Admiral's are in Virginia, of all places. I'd rather be in Flordia! But hey, it's somewhere new. I really hope it's a nice place.
I pulled open the laptop and discovered the email.

Dear Killer and Gibson,

I am excited to inform you that the plane leaves in two days. You will make the team better, in my opinion and be hanging with the Bolts in no time.

Can't wait to see you out there!
