Klepis scores two in win over Coyotes

(Los Angeles, CA) - Returning to the lineup, Justin Williams sparked a fiew under the Kings with his early goal in the first period as Los Angeles took a comfortable win over their division rivals tonight defeating the Phoenix Coyotes, 4-1.
Jakub Klepis scored two goals for the Kings in a game that saw three players leave the game with injuries for the hockey club.
Anze Kopitar left the game early in the first period after hurting his wrist during a play and did not return to receive more attention.
Michal Handzus also left the game, injuring his arm as well on a mistimed check into the boards. He later returned in the second period and continued playing for the Kings.
Winger Mark Parrish was also on the injured list after receiving a few hits to the face during a fight which left him with a broken nose, but managed to return after getting some work done on it and playing a few more shifts in the third period.
But through all the sudden changes that had to be made for Los Angeles, they still pushed to victory, starting off with a three goal first period.
After scoring his 15th goal of the year and missing the last few games to an injury, Justin Williams got everything started which led to Jakub Klepis' first goal of the game at 13:04, and two minutes later with Alexander Frolov's fifth goal of the season at 15:36 to make it 3-0 in favor of the Kings.
Radim Vrbata broke the shutout for Phoenix with his goal at 19:53 for the 3-1 advantage still in favor of the Kings.
But 27 seconds into the third period, Jakub Klepis managed to get on the scoreboard again as he earned his second goal of the night for the 4-1 lead.
The Kings held the Coyotes back as they skated to an easy 4-1 win over their division rivals.
Defenseman Drew Doughty also earned player of the game honors as he earned three assists tongiht, making the scoring passes for both goals by Klepis and Frolov's goal.
The Kings will now await the status on the three players injured tonight, hopeful they will be allowed to lay against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night.
