Another weekly report on the Devils

GM and coach Mikko Holopainen isn't happy with his teams powerplay. ''If you have 10 powerplay's in one game and you score in three of those, is not a good day and also if you give one shorthanded goal and you make alot of bad passes in the zone or in the own end, it's not what I wanted,'' he said. ''I think I put Rob (Niedermayer) out of the powerplay and give Elias a change.'' he continued. Holopainen also called up Alexander Yasyunov from the Lowell Devils. Ben Walter might be sent to Lowell.
Ilya Kovalchuk is on the way to get the Maurice Richard Trophy, he is six goals ahead Jeff Carter, who is second in goals.
Devils captain Jamie Langenbrunner had a great night against Calgary when he putted up four assists, ''Yes it was a good game for us I can thank Travis, Bryce and Ilya on those assists.'' Langenbrunner said.
Zach Parise seems happy when he became the center of first line playing with Kovalchuk and Langenbrunner. ''Ofcousre I'm happy to play with those guys, they are great guys in the ice and of the ice.'' Parise said.
Martin Brodeur have been in the news the couple of weeks and this time not because of his records but with the question the ESPN's reporter asked from Brodeur and it is are you going to retire after the season and Brodeur said that he hasn't thought about that he is just focusing on to make it to the playoffs.
