Jesus Christ, are you playing 20 minute periods or something? That's a whole lot of goals

Eight minute periods with Superstar Sliders. I've tried to get it to be less scoring and the last two games have been each a score of 4-2, a win and a loss.

Theodore Update

Flyers Officially Reach Out To Jose Theodore

Theodore Makes Save Against Flyers

As long rumored the Philadelphia Flyers have officially reached out to Jose Theodore's camp. This news comes from Theodore's agent as he sent a text message to major news outlets in the area. Theodore has remained a Free Agent into the season as no teams have shown much interest in the former Hart and Vezina trophy winner.

"Flyers offer Jose contract. Terms could be released in the near future" This is the text message that we received today in regards to Theodore.

Up to this time the Philadelphia Flyers have made no official announcement or even acknowledged the fact that they've talked to Jose.

"We will not be discussing players that are currently outside of our organization during this press conference." Coach Peter Laviolette opened up his PC with this statement.

Jose Theodore has not yet returned our phone call.

Game #14 | At New York Islanders

Last Minute Goals Fuel Flyers To Victory

van Riemsdyk fights for puck along boards

The Orange and the Black rolled into Long Island looking to continue their dominance of their Atlantic Division rival. They did just that with tonight's game. Philadelphia scored five goals on oft-injured Rick DiPietro on their way to the victory.

Out of the five goals that the Flyers scored tonight an amazing four were scored in the last minute of play in the period. Matt Carle capitalized first with just six seconds remaining in the first period to put the Flyers ahead. Kimmo Timonen went on to score a goal with 23 seconds remaining in the 2nd period to put the Flyers back on top. The last minute scoring was not over however as they capitalized twice in the last minute of play as van Riemsdyk scored his second of the period and Zherdev netted the empty netter with twelve seconds remaining.

"It was a weird night. Luckily we were able to score in those last minutes as we obviously only scored one goal outside of that time frame. It was definitely a first for me in the NHL." van Riemsdyk commented on the time of the goals being scored.

This game did not end without a price to be paid. Jeff Carter left the game in the latter stages of the third period with what has been deemed a lower body injury.

"Jeff left the game with what we believe to be a lower body injury. His time frame for return is currently day to day. At this time we would not consider the injury anything significant but we can never be too careful" Paul Holmgren commented on Carters injury after the game.

Carter currently leads the team in assists and fourth in the entire NHL.

Notes:
Rumors out there about Jose Theodore joining the Flyers have hit a hitch as it seems that Theodore has turned down the Flyers initial offer. Islanders forwards Doug Weight and Trent Hunter both left the game in the second period and each will be missing at least two weeks of play.

Re: The Orange and Black | Flyers Franchise

God damn Michael Leighton sucks.

Too bad Theodore rejected your deal. It sounds like you'll have to trade for one if this continues, because no goaltending will kill you down the road.
