Sim #1: Preseason update !

30/08/2006:

NHL Schedule is out, Habs will start against the Sabres (away), Leafs (away) and Flyers (away).

Serge Boisvert, a scout, made his retirement announcement, but let's not kid ourselves, nobody cares.

31/08/2006:

European Hockey Tour :

Kari Ramo who's rights are own by the Montreal Canadiens, let 5 goals on 34 shots in a scrimmage with Finland against Russia.... oh well.

Mikael Johansson also played in an international scrimmage for Sweden, nothing very exciting to say about his game.

02/09/2006:

European Hockey Tour :

Kari Ramo lost another one between the pipes, this time against Finland 3-2. 3 goals on 30 shots. Played a good game overall but lost is a lost.

Mikael Johansson played only 4 minutes in a 5-1 lost to Russia.

03/09/2006:

European Hockey Tour :

Exciting news, our two European guys played against each other so obviously someone had to win !

Johansson won with Sweden, 5-1 against Ramo and his Finnish colleagues. He only played 4 minutes, I guess the coach don't trust him that much. Ramo allowed 5 goals on 35 shots.

Czech Four Nations U-20 Tournament :

John Westin who's rights are own by the Montreal Canadiens, played 5 minutes for Sweden U20 who beat Czech 4-0.

Joonas Nattinen played for Finland, logging 25:40 minutes and +1 rating in a 4-3 win against Russia.

06/09/2006:

Habs signed scout Jed Serratore. 3 year contract.

Czech Four Nations U-20 Tournament :

Czech Four Nations U-20 Tournament :

Joonas Nattinen played for Finland, lost 5-1 to Sweden. Even rating in 24 minutes.

The Hockey News has released their preview of the upcoming NHL season. In their preview, the teams were ranked from the top to bottom and players most valuable to their team were selected.

The New Jersey Devils are expected to have a big season, with the Chicago Blackhawks challenging right behind them. NHL News:

International Scouting Service Preliminary Rankings for the NHL Entry Draft 2007 have been released. Sean Couturier was the top-ranked player followed by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Adam Larsson.

For the CHL Import Draft Markus Granlund was the top-ranked player followed by Emil Lundberg and Roberto Gliga.

The OHL Priority Selection 2007 have been released. Mel Cyr was the top-ranked player followed by Zach Matlock and Aaron Willemsen.

For the WHL Bantam Draft 2007, Jayme Miller was the top-ranked player followed by Mark McDougall and Bernard St. Pierre.

Last but not least, in the QMJHL, Marc Biega was the top-ranked player followed by Jimmy Vaillancourt and Nicholas Rompotinos.
