Funny how we both thought of Komi - Kab is the better dman to have around in march for the trade deadline then komi, better trade bait. Plus if you really are looking for that right handed shot you could probably find a FA or on the block D-man that you could get for cheaper.

Re: TML - The Brian Burke Era

The thing is, I love the Komo signing. I mean, he might be expensive but he isn't as expensive as Phaneuf and I love that he is a right handed shot.

Also, I put Grabovski on the Trade Block as well because he can't win a damn face off. And, that's another couple mill in CAP space I can save at some point. I think I will try and get my trading done by the end of December of this season. I tend to never make trades on Deadline day as they don't make sense for my team. I like that my defence is fairly young and are big enough to handle most forwards in the league.

Tomas is too small to play defence for me, hence why I am using him as trade bait to get my top line center. If it takes me till the trade deadline, I'm afraid I won't make the playoffs! The Sens just throttled me 8-3. And I sat Komo out that game cuz he was day to day with a shoulder injury, and phaneuf couldn't handle it all on his own. So i am quite content keeping Komo, he's my +/- leader. I can't trade him.

Any other options you fellas can think of?

Re: TML - The Brian Burke Era

The Leaf franchise I did before I lost it, I managed to trade Finger and Mitchell for picks so that might also be ideas for you (missing a 1st rounder, more 2nd and 3rd round picks becomes even more valuable).

In the end I was thinking, pull the trigger on the Devils deal - yeah you might lose out on it but in the end a top line of Versteeg- Zajac - Kessel is way better then Versteeg - Bozak/Grabovski - Kessel...

Hey guys,

I know it has been awhile, busy week at school, hopefully in the next couple days I can get around to that trade with the Devils.

Cheers,

15 Game Update
The Toronto Maple Leafs sit in 11th place after 15 games in the 2010-11 Regular season. They have a record of 7-6-2 and sit in 4th place in the Northeast Division with 16 points. They sit ahead of only the Ottawa Senators in the Division and only by a mere 2 points. Early in the season and it looks like Boston could have another really high pick. Rumour has it that as early as tomorrow after tonight's game against the Vancouver Canucks could see highly touted center Travis Zajac of the New Jersey Devils wind up in a Toronto Maple Leaf jersey.

More to come!
