If five goals wasn't enough last Thursday for the Edmonton Oilers, they came out Sunday night and piled on six goals on the Florida Panthers, forcing one of the better goalies, Tomas Vokoun, to get pulled out after letting four quick goals get past him. No one scored more than one goal for the Oilers, but we did see Theo Peckham, one of the many rookies on the roster, score his 1st goal. Sam Gagner added his third goal as well, as Dustin Penner added his second. Nikolai Khabibulin was good despite the score, holding a shutout through two periods, but lost it as the Panthers scored three in the third period. Taylor Hall and Magnus Paajarvi also picked up their points in their NHL careers.
Edmonton gets three days off, before heading off to Minnesota to face the Wild, who are off to a slow start, with a record of 0-1-1.
