PITTSBURGH -- In a recent interview with Evgeni Malkin, KDKA reporter Patrice King Brown found out that Malkin "want to score fifty." However, Malkin believes that "Pittsburgh cant provide me." Is this a vindictive way of Malkin asking for a trade?

ANAHEIM - In a press conference before today's Jets-Ducks game, working GM Jim Balisillie has announced that he has traded prospect Mikkel Boedker, wingers Shane Doan, Ray Whitney, Scottie Upshall, a first round draft pick, and Michael Stone to Pittsburgh.

Although Doan is currently serving a 4-game suspension for a hit from behind, commissioner Gary Bettman has allowed him to be traded and uplifted the suspension from Doan because "He's a winger for Sid." In exchange for the king's bounty, the Winnipeg Jets receive star center Evgeni Malkin, winger Bill Guerin, defensive prospect Simon Despres, Mark Letestu, Nicholas Petersen, and enforcer Eric Godard from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
