Kings lose Scuderi, dip into the minors
Voynov gets the call up to the big leagues

BOSTON, MA - Rob Scuderi has been a steady, veteran presence in his time with the Kings. Now we'll get to see how the Kings fare without him.

Scuderi left Friday's game in Buffalo and didn't return, and will now be out 1-2 weeks with pain in his left shoulder. In his place, the Kings have called up one of their most promising prospects: 20 year old Viatcheslav Voynov. Drafted 32nd overall by the Kings in 2008, Voynov has been very dependable during his time with the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL, and has 10 points in 19 games this year.

This change on defense, combined with Paul Kariya returning to the lineup Saturday in Boston, leaves the Kings' lines looking like this:
