Fourth and final pre season game VS Ottawa!

Pre game interview with Steve Pattenden:
"You know regardless what happens tonight and no matter if i stay up or get sent down I am excited to be here in this organization and I only hope to add to it. Sure I would rather remain with the leafs but I understand there are alot of parts to my game that need to be fine tuned and worked on"


Pattenden punishes Svatos.

Pattenden also took exception to a hit that Ottoawa forward Chris Neil landed on linemate Clarke Macarthur, which resulted in a second period brawl that left both combatents bloodied.

"From that point on I was after him all game, and I got what I wanted, people gotta know you cant take advantage of our skill guys without paying the price"

That was from a feisty Pattenden after tonight's tilt. Clearly he felt a need to send a message to Neil. Even though the bout was declared a "tie" Pattenden's message was recieved loud and clear.

I saw occasional flashes of brilliance when Steve got on the ice, but not enough consistency, especially in the face off circle. He will need more time before he is ready for the NHL and to evolve into the type of player we need on this club. For now he will be reporting to the Toronto Marlies

I swear NHL is the only game that ever does that to me too. At least it happened now and not 60+ games into the season.
