Pens Obliterate Islanders
And Matt Martin as well, even though Max Talbot is a douche
LONG ISLAND -- In a rather long, dragged-out game, the Baby Pens defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers by a score of 7-0. Leading the charge for the Penguins was Evgeni Malkin, currently rehabbing from tearing both his ACL and MCL, and recently drafted D-man Joe Morrow. Malkin and Morrow combined for 9 points in the game, comprised of 3 goals and 6 assists. Morrow owned two of those goals and assisted thrice, whereas Geno sored twice and also assisted three times. AHL goaltender Brad Thiessen looked spectacular, stopping all 17 shots against him. Luckily, the same can't be said for Evgeni Nabokov, who is apparently playing for the Islanders? When did this happen?

PITTSBURGH -- It was a great sight in the CONSOL Energy Center today, as the Penguins defeated the New Jersey Devils in overtime by the score of 3-2. Joe Morrow was impressive today, laying out Ilya Kovalchuk and netting 2 assists. Evgeni Malkin had a new collection of hats as he scored 3 goals. Scott Munroe was average, stopping 20 of the 22 shots the Devils put on net. The post was even better, stopping 3 out of 4 shots against it.

Rocking Madison Square Garden
That ****ing backhander...
Pittsburgh -- Although Malkin was kept away from the goal column, he still found a way to assist on two goals in the Pens 5-2 victory over the New York Rangers. Joe Morrow was also good, hitting the twine two times. The Penguins move to 3-0 on the preseason with this victory, and their final game will be in Philadelphia on the 30th.

The Penguins have gone undefeated in the preseason after winning the final game against the Philadelphia Flyers by the score of 2-1. Geno scored his final goal of the preseason, to bring his total up to 6, and Brad Thiessen earned the starting job in Wilkes-Barre. Jaromir Jagr, of all people, scored the goal for the Cryers.
