Lunqvist Stops 43 in Early Season Divisional Rivalry

Sometimes rest does a body good. Mr. Ludqvist, who had the night off against Anahiem, had a full week off before locking horns with the hated Islanders. Hank kept the Blue Shirts in this one throughout, giving a chance to Wojtek Wolski to score the go ahead goal in the second only 20 seconds after the Isles knotted it up at 1. The Rangers move to 1-1-1 on the young season. This was a much needed win as the boys head out to the Canadian west coast for a crucial 4 game road trip.
