After a disappointing game 7 loss to the Bruins last season Vancouver is looking for a quick turnaround with basically the exact same lineup. We know the whole Canucks organization is looking for the Cup this year;however, they know they are still 82 games away from the playoffs.

Team Positives: Solid top 6, with the Sedins and Burrows and the All American Line the Canucks can have a very solid one two punch. Their Power play was top of the league last year and they hope to continue that this season. Their Dcore is as solid as any other; although, the loss of Christian Ehrhoff is a huge loss for the Canucks and have to find some offensive power from the backend.

Team Negatives: The Canucks got thrown around and beat around in the finals against Boston, can the Canucks play with more toughness and grit then they showed in the finals?

The BIGGEST question: Will Roberto Luongo be able to bounce back from the play he had during the Stanley Cup Finals, Luongo at times played phenomenal but when he entered the Gardens Luongo was Terrible. As of right now GM Mike Gillis and Head Coach Alain Vigneault have stated that "Roberto is our guy, we are going to be playing Cory more this season but only so Roberto is ready to carry us through 4 rounds of playoffs."

25 Game Mark!!

Record: 14-9-2 2nd in Western Conference 8th Overall

After the 25 game mark the team has a fairly solid record even though some of their key players have not been playing well at all. Ryan Kesler has really been horrible his point production is much worse then last year which is not good for him considering Cody Hodgson has been playing very well on the third line. At the begging of the season Luongo went through his typical October to forget but since then has bounced back nicely to lead the team to second in the Conference. I may be looking at adding some offensive power on the back end that is one key spot that really is missing.

Key Notes: Cody Hodgson has been injured with a broken hand and should be back within a few weeks also David Booth has been put on the first line with Burrows being moved down.
