Seb170455's Moose Jaw Mustangs Dynasty (2nd attempt)

After a awful attempt with All-Star sliders, I'm trying my Mustangs dynasty in Pro sliders mode.

Team: Moose Jaw Mustangs (instead of Phoenix)
Mode: Pro (with some sliders maxed)
Time: 6 minutes
Back-up goalie only plays in back-to-back games.
Simming the pre-season. The rest will be played.

Hope you like it!!

CBC Sports

Phoenix Coyotes been sold to Dutch royalty!!

The Phoenix Coyotes have been sold to the King of the Netherlands. King Willem-Alexander of Orange has a big sports heart. Soccer, the Olympics and Hockey are his great passions. In the Netherlands he can not take sides in all Soccer events. But he really wanted to make his mark in sports. Willem-Alexander acknowlegdes that Hockey in the Netherlands is at the lowest level. Other European countries like the Scandinavian countries and Russia are far ahead. But when the oppurtunity came along he jumped to the chance to take over the Phoenix Coyotes.

After many research and lobby from his Canadian friends, King Willem-Alexander decided to move to Moose Jaw. Moose Jaw applauded his ideas and are willing to turn this Hockey club in a good NHL franchise.

The Moose Jaw Mustangs will be the pride of the Orange royals and hope that the Moose Jaw and Canadian people will take over their enthousiasm. In less than 3 months they will build the arena, which will be called the Royal Orange Colosseum.

King Willem did have a talk with GM Don Maloney and Head Coach Dave Tippet. Willem of Orange wanted them both to stay but Maloney and Tippet didn't want anything to do with this European monarch. Maloney said;"We are hockey people, and we don't want some Royal big spender to make this in a toy franchise. King Willem-Alexander was forced to make staff changes.

Jo Loonstra was made the new General Manager of the Mustangs. Jo Loonstra is a Dutch/Canadian ex hockey player. He said to us, that he's delighted to have the chance to be in the NHL. He said in the English, French, German and Dutch language. Loonstra: "We hope to get great results in Moose Jaw and we hope to impress our new fans. MJ Mustangs will be the future of the NHL and the pride of Moose Jaw.

The head coach job was given to Maus Jansen. This bilingual Canadian coach is new to the NHL and will have a difficult job to get results quick. GM Loonstra said that the results are not most important. They should build the franchise of tomorrow.

We will see if tomorrow they are ready to build.

Re: Seb170455's Moose Jaw Mustangs Dynasty (2nd attempt)

Trade and Free Agency news.

GM Loonstra talked with ESPN America obout some trading and free agent signings.

GM Loonstra:
"We were not satisfied with our goaltenders. The group as a whole was not good enough and we made some trades to get better and make a move toward the future.

Free Agent signing: G. Marty Turco 83 C for 1 year.

We signed Marty as back-up goalie (less money than Labarbera). His playoff experience will help the young dudes.

Trade:

MJM acquire: G. Andres Lindback 82 B- B- B- and a 2012 - 4th round pick (NSH).

NSH acquire: G. Mike Smith 83 C and G. McElhinney 80 C

We were glad to have Lindback at our club. Lindback will have the chance to be our franchise goaltender. He has great ability and has a good future ahead of him. He will be our future we hope.
Smith will be a good backup in Nashville and McElhinney will get his chances in AHL and maybe the NHL. We wish them good luck in their future with the Preds.

Free agent signings:

RW. Niclas Bergfors 82 B- B- B- is signed for 1 year.
RW Enver Lisin 78 B- B- B- is signed for 3 years.

Both players are RW. Bergfors will be a top six winger, and Lisin will be at the end of our lines.

GM Loonstra: "The overhaul in goaltender department will continue. We have tried to get good prospects in goal. We hope we have done so with these next few trades."

To MJM: G. Tyler Beskorowany 66 B- B- C
To DAL: G. Justin Pogge 72 C C C

To MJM: G. Matt Hacket 76 B- B- B-
To MIN: G. Jason Labarbera 82 C C C and the rights to Mark Visentin 66 C C C.

GM Loonstra: "After all the goaltending trading, we'll started to look futher. We wanted another defender and a center. These players had to be young and with great futures. We got them at Montreal."

To MJM: D. A Emelin 78 C B- B-, C. L Eller 81 B- B- B- and C. L LeBlanc 72 B- B- B-
To MON: LW P. O'Sullivan 81 C, C. D Langkow 81 C-, C. P O'Reilly 80 B- C C.

GM Loonstra said: "We traded one veteran center, one good LW and a young center to Montreal. They will do fine at Montreal. We got Lars Eller, who is a great center man. He's a future All Star and will be contending with Brule and Hanzal for the top 2 center positions. LeBlanc will be at AHL affiliate Portland, but we are very exited to get him. He is a very promising player and will do fine for us. Emelin is a hard hitting defenceman. He will grow in athletism and defence. He will be in de PK and 3rd line defence. He was a peace we needed in our puzzle (organisation). "

Re: Seb170455's Moose Jaw Mustangs Dynasty (2nd attempt)

GM Loonstra met with the media today. He has summarized the pre-season.

"After the fast take over of Phoenix, we wanted to make a name for ourselves in Moose Jaw. We built a great rink (the Royal Orange Colosseum), and made a few trades to make it "our" roster. The pre-season went alright 2-1-1. Not to bad for a club that has to rebuilt. When we looked at our roster we saw that there are too many players with 1-way contracts. So we searched for a trade and got one. We are proud to announce the acquiring of Mark Scheifele (Center 72 B- B- B-) for Korpikoski (80 B-). Mark will be heading to the AHL, but he will be a future star. Korpikoski had a 1-way contract and did not make the roster. I think Korpikoski will do great at Winnipeg, where he will more chances to make himself a top 6 forward. Let's take these Mustangs to the NHL and I can't wait to play our first home game of the season. We are expected to win 34 games. I am sure that coach Maus Jansen and I will make that number!!"

Re: Seb170455's Moose Jaw Mustangs Dynasty (2nd attempt)

After the first season match of this new franchise Maus Jansen talked in front of the CBC Sports camaras.

Maus Jansen: "We were thrilled to play the first game in the history of the Mustangs franchise. We were ready to play it hard and win this first one. We worked hard and battled against a very good San Jose team. We even had to fight two times (Klesla and Morris), and we also beaten them in that department. We won and now we can move on. In Holland we say "De kop is eraf" (translated "The head is off"), meaning the first one is played and the tension is off. I'm satisfied with the play and the result."
