C- Shawn Matthias- 23/78 B-
C- Jonathan Huberdeau- 18/70 B
D- Jonathan Racine- 18/61 B-
C- James Wright- 21/75 B-

Re: Florida Panthers (NHL 12)

Florida Makes Huge Trade

-In the press conference following the win over Tampa Bay a trade with the Anaheim Ducks was announced.

Florida Receives:
RW Bobby Ryan

Anaheim Receives:
RW Mikael Samuelsson
RW Michal Repik
2012 1st Round Pick
2013 1st Round Pick

-Florida wanted to bring in a player who could take over games and was also a future superstar. The organization sees Bobby Ryan as this player. They were willing to get rid of Repik and two first round picks to get him as well as sending out Samuelsson. This move shows Florida wants to win now and not wait for draft picks and prospects to pan out. At just 24 years old we will see how Ryan deals with immediately becoming the top player in a new organization after being overshadowed by Perry and Getzlaf in Anaheim.

-Ryan will be suited up tomorrow night in Washington.

-Florida now is rumored to be searching the trade blocks for a pure sniper who can step in and be a top 6 skater for them right now. The Panthers are also looking for a veteran goalie to spend one season as the starter while Markstrom develops in the AHL.

(What do you guys think of this trade? Also the snipers I am currently looking at to trade for Tyler Ennis, Nikolai Kulemin, Jakub Vorecek, Matt Moulson, or Michael Grabner. Which of those guys do you think would make the most realistic acquisition?)

Re: Florida Panthers (NHL 12)

Excellent trade.

Bobby is a big guy who can put the puck in the net, will do wonders for you - plus Florida has been in rebuild, well least on the prospect side, for a few years so losing two 1st rounders is not a big deal considering what you brought in. Kudos

If your looking for realism then maybe Moulson but it depends on how those other players and thier teams are playing right now.

Re: Florida Panthers (NHL 12)

I'm going to see what I can do with just the addition of Ryan to my lineup. He was clearly the best player on the ice for me against Washington and as long as my second line continues to play solid as well I should be alright. My bottom 6 can do just enough scoring that my top 6 wont have to completely carry the team. I'm going to have to keep winning with defense. I give up a lot of shots but like I said before it's because I force everything to stay to the outside and the other team just throws it on net.

Now if the CPU offers me a trade I will consider it.

If you have any suggestions for an older goalie who can be a solid number 1 this season let me know. It's the one position I need more than anything right now.
