London Knights expect big things from rising star Jerry Malfak this season

The Knights will open their season tomorrow at home hosting the Erie Otters and fans will get to see their first glimpse of rising star Jerry Malfak. Jerry "The Rat" Malfak while not having the most flattering nickname does have a knack for scoring goals. The puck drops at 7:50 PM.

It did not take long... In fact it took exactly 6 minutes and 31 seconds for Jerry Malfak to score his first career goal for the Knights. On a blistering wrist shot from the left slot the puck bounced off the left glove hand of the goalie and Malfak appeared to shock himself with a very subdued celebration.
Jerry Malfak would have another chance to celebrate, in fact he would have two more and once settled in the fans caught a glimpse of the intensity that "The Rat" is known for.
On his second goal Malfak showed his speed as he deked once and went to the five hole, a shot that Malfak is known for. The third goal was a near carbon copy on a break away.
Malfaks effort helped the Knights to their first win of the season on opening night.
If Malfak's debut was a barometer for the shape of things to come the future is looking bright for Malfak and the London Knights.
