Martin Brodeur had been missing after a tough stretch of defeats, but in his first start in over a week he stopped all 22 Washington shots to pilot the Devils to victory. Adam Henrique and Peter Harrold scored as New Jersey continued their hot streak.

Devils Win 5th Straight Behind Another Brodeur Gem

Martin Brodeur has turned back the clock over his past two starts. With a shutout against Washington, and a 36 save, 1 goal against performance against the hated Rangers the Devils have ran off 5 straight wins, and have won 7 of their last 10 to run their record to 30-17-6 on the season. Gabriel Landeskog scored his 19th of the year, and 50th of his career to tie the game in the first after a fluky goal by Ryan Callahan early on. Ryan Clowe made an amazing individual effort to break the tie and give the Devils the lead for good.

Brunner's Big Day Paces Devils
Damien Brunner came in with 12 goals leading the Devils third line. Thanks to a huge day, Brunner left Tuesday night with 16 goals, after netting four in a 6-1 blowout over the Blues in St. Louis. Brunner opened the scoring 44 seconds into the second period on a 5 on 3, and finished his hat trick just under 8 minutes later as New Jersey scored 4 in the second period to take a commanding lead.
