My pleasure. Now with the game, I can obviously move guys around to make everything work out with the numbers. But, I prefer to play this game as realistic as possible, and work with what the Hawks are up against in real life, so here goes.

There you have it, we need to clear just North of $2.2 million or face the penalties. A lot of the players are anxious to get the season going, not just because it's the start of the year but then the rumors will be quieted. Everyone is on alert.

I would see what you can get out of Leddy or get rid of Crawford. I know he is your best goalie but he doesn't play like 6m. IMO

Those are definitely two guys I don't want to part with. You need to deal from strength, and dealing a top 4 dman, or our #1 goalie doesn't make much sense when there is no one that can jump in and replace them, IMO.

If I were Rozsival, Oduya, Sharp, and Versteeg, I would be very nervous.

CHICAGO, IL -- Finally back home, and getting ready for the season. Some interesting tidbits from this mornings practice, there are too many guys, and something seems to be up.

We were told that the official roster/lineup would be done today, while we were here for practice, in fact, in HAS to be done today. Both Clendening, and Teravainen both practiced, but a handful of players did not, for one reason or another. Typically the coaching staff, and members of the organization would be available after practice on a day like this before the season, but crickets.

Stay tuned, as something is going to happen, or else.

Are you enforcing the No Movement Clauses? Ideally you'd want to move Rozsival but he has a NMC.

** BREAKING NEWS ** Looks like the move everyone has been waiting for has happened, both Kris Versteeg, and Johnny Oduya have been pulled from practice, and a press conference has been scheduled for 20 minutes from now.

Stan Bowman - "Today we made a deal that we didn't necessarily want to make, but one that we needed to make. The Red Wings were looking to get established NHL talent, and we willing to part with their younger players, and draft picks. By making this deal we shed a solid $4 million off the books as we head into the season, this gives us flexibility not only this year, but next year as well. Both Kris, and Johnny were big parts of our success here, and it will now be up to the younger guys, that we think are ready, to step in, and make an impact. Final roster will be out shortly."

Just like that, Kris Versteeg, and Johnny Oduya are headed to Detroit, the Hawks are now under the cap, and ready to start the 2014-2015 season.
