The Dagger

Italy can thank the hockey gods for their win against the Belorussians as they knocked them off with less than a second to go.

This game started off disappointing for the Italians, as most do now. However, Italy had their first, first period lead after a goal by Diego Coster similar to his first goal of the year.

The Italians held their lead until the second when Michael Grabovski snuck a shot underneath the pad of Bernard. The game remain tied until a third period scoring explosion.

The two teams combined for 5 goals in the third as well as some incredible saves and great hockey. When Italy would score, Belarus would come right back. Andreas Bernard was unable to stack the pads in this game but flailed around to absolutely robbed Grabovski on main street with 5 minutes left. The game continued to fly-by until the final minute. As Italy had a 3-2 lead, the game was tied with 43 seconds remaining. Italy seemed deflated but, captain Alberto Cacciaguera showed why he's the captain. After receiving a pass from Coster heading up the right side of the sheer, he launched a rocket from just inside the blue line. It hit the Belorussian goalie in the pad. Overtime, right? Nope, EA logic allowed the puck to ricochet and head top-cheese finding twine with 0.8 seconds remaining.

Haha! Maybe just a suggestion, give us a full game report in your box score instead of just the 3 stars. I personally would like to see when the goals were scored, kinda like how mine is. It gives you a full game report and makes you feel like you're reading a recap.

I do enjoy your updates though! This was an awesome idea.

Re: International Glory~An Italian Hockey Story

SORRY FOR LACK OF UPDATES
Mistakes Galore

Diego Koster is a Constant Presence

Mistakes were made. Fortunately, for Italy, Japan also made mistakes.

Italy scored on themselves to open the game and many Italian players were so salty and lost their cool which allowed Japan to go bar down.

With Italy down 2-0 they kicked into high gear with 5 seconds left and buried a rebound to cut the lead in half.

Italy would score two straight to win their 4th this year moving them to the top half of Div.II
