Dual Star State—Dallas Stars Franchise

Settings:
Game: NHL 14
Sliders: Custom (Superstar+)
Rosters: Current
No more than 5 trades during the season
Position battles (see next post)

Well, I'm back. I've been a bit slack on the chising front lately, but I remember the good times I had with my Sabres and I wanted another go around. This time around I've added a bit of a new feature that should keep things fresh and keep me on a steady pace. Enjoy!

Position Battles/Morning Skate
Position Battles/Morning Skate is a new feature I'll be using. In an attempt to more accurately replicate the NHL, I will play a practice before every game wherein I'll check out how some youngsters are doing, how some vets are doing, etc. The result of how a player performs during the Morning Skate can mean that player will be moved up a little, down a bit, or whatnot.

I will try to post IN THIS POST the results of that morning's Morning Skate. Check it out if you get the chance. Names highlighted green indicate that the player performed well, red means they performed poorly, and yellow signifies an injury or a player practicing while recovering from injury.

October 11:
Patrick Eaves
Jamie Benn
Jason Spezza

San Jose Come Back To Win

A heartbreaker for Dallas in this one, as they held a three goal lead after 20 minutes and a two goal lead after 40 but still lost. Joe Thornton scored the game winner in OT on a 4-on-3 powerplay while Patrick Marleau scored twice for San Jose. Jason Spezza, Jamie Benn, and Tyler Seguin all had 2 points for the Stars.

Offense and Revenge the Key Words in Win Over Sharks

The Stars kept up their high scoring with a 7-3 win over the Sharks. Dallas once again jumped out to an early lead, leading 3-0 halfway through the game and 5-1 at their highest point. Kari Lehtonen made 39 big saves and Jamie Benn added another 3 points to his collection.
