A KNIGHT'S TALE

Welcome, thank you for reading.
After a long hiatus, I have decided to come back to dynasty reporting. Seeing how long it's been since the league expanded, this will be the perfect opportunity to follow a team from it's inception all the way to the end through.

The exciting opportunity will be all the firsts that will come and be recorded for this fledgling team. Will they find success, or will they be forced to fold and possibly relocate? Who knows, only time will tell.

GOLDEN KNIGHTS PREPARE FOR FIRST SEASON

It has been a busy offseason for the Vegas Golden Knights. Management has put together a seemingly ragtag group of players and will soon throw them to the mercy of a gruelling 82 game season.

The team consists of mostly NHL journeymen; which they acquired in the expansion draft or signed through free agency, mixed with some ageing veterans and stars James Neal and Marc Andre Fleury (fresh off a Stanley Cup Final). Fitting with their locale, the team also decided to take a gamble on some NCAA prospects; such as Reid Duke and the MacDonald brothers.

Also, although none of their 1st Round Picks from the Draft (6th - Cal Foote D, 13th - Michael Rasmussen C, 15th - Martin Necas C) are expected to make the team this year, their is still a lot of optimism about their potential.

The team travels on Wednesday to Dallas, where they will begin their 2017/18 Campaign against the Stars.

GOLDEN KNIGHTS PREPARE FOR FIRST SEASON

The Golden Knights will start the season without Adam McQuaid, after aggravating a knee injury in practice yesterday. Shea Theodore will work his way into the lineup instead as the season kicks off tomorrow night.

It also appears based on yesterday's practice, that the lines have been set. The Knights Top Line will consist of Marchessault; who had a break out season last year with Florida, the ever dangerous James Neal and Russian Standout Shipachyov. The skill is few and far between on the remaining three lines, with the team most likely to play a gritty grind out style of game.
