This years pool features 3 high level goalies and only an average forward/defense pool. Sergei Bobrovsky headlines the goalies with Varlamov & Lehner being available as well.

Braydom Cobourn headed a mediocre pool of defensemen. Meanwhile at forward, Saskatchewan expansion pick Marcus Johansson would lead the pack.

Trades:

Broncos trade Alex Martinez to Anaheim for their 2019 1st Round Pick.

First Game!!

September 26th 2018 will be remembered as the first game (albeit preseason) of Franchise History. And it was at home to boot. Fittingly pitted against divisional rivals Winnipeg Jets.

The lineup used for the playoffs is:

B. McGinn-Stephenson-J. McGinn
Pirri-Lindberg-Raffl
Kunhackl-Nosek-Pitlick
Sobotka-Foligno-Lazar

Mueller-Kulak
Djoos-Schenn
Manning-Semyonov

Varlamov
Lehner

Preseason 1 vs Winnipeg:

Winnipeg 3 Saskatchewan 1

Goals:
SSK Pirri (3:52 1st)
WPG Kerdiles (11:05 1st)
WPG Kerdiles [2] (2:37 3rd)
WPG Moulson (11:27 3rd)

Goalies:
WPG Eric Comrie 29 ShA, 28 Svs, .966 Save %
SSK Robin Lehner 31ShA. 28 Svs, .903 Save %

Preseason 2 vs St Louis:

Another day that will be remembered! First victory in Franchise History!

Saskatchewan 4 St Louis 3

SSK Foligno (4:20 1st)
STL Holland (8:41 2nd)
SSK Kunhackl (10:56 2nd)
SSK Mueller (12:26 2nd)
STL LaLeggia (1:42 3rd)
STL Edmunson (18:48 3rd)
SSK Mueller [2] (19:51 3rd)

Goalies:
SSK Varlamov 27 ShA, 24 Svs, .889%

Goalies:
DAL Khudobin 28 ShA, 28 Svs, 1.000%
SSK Varlamov 29 ShA, 26 Svs, .897%

The Broncos just couldn't get going this time. Mustering 28 shots on goal, they couldn't solve Anton Khudobin. Back to the drawing board next Game @ Minnesota.

*Simming the next 3 games. Only reporting scores

Saskatchewan 4 Minnesota 3

Saskatchewan 3 Nashville 2

Chicago 5 Saskatchewan 4

Final Preseason Game @ Colorado

Goal Scorers:

COL Kerfoot
SSK Lazar
COL Greer
SSK Foligno
COL Calvert
SSK Foligno [2]

Saskatchewan finishes the pre-season with a record of 4-3-0. Not bad for a weak team.

Top Players:
Marcus Foligno: 4 Goals, 9 points
Curtis Lazar: 3 goals, 7 points

Rookie Watch:

Yuri Semyonov finishes with 0 points and a -2. He will be sent overseas to develop.

The Broncos did not have a good November. A 9 game slide from November 10 to 28th saw the Broncos tumble down the ladder. Only bright sides was their 3-0 shutout over Toronto on November 30th.

Meanwhile Helsinki continues it's average play but finds themselves above .500. The team has 3 shutout victories headline the month, 5-0 over Springfield, a 1-0 edging of Belleville and a 4-0 drubbing of Colorado.
