Re: Humboldt Strong (NHL21 Franchise - Fun Only)
AROUND THE LEAGUE, YEAR 2020, ISSUE 1
December 31 2020
This is the inaugural issue of Around the League, where we take a look at, well, the league. Done in 4 parts, it will provide an overview of the League standings and other storylines. The topic of the Issue will depend on when it is.
There will be Issues at the end of the Calendar Year(End of December), the Trade Deadline, End of Regular Season & Offseason. The topics of the Trade Deadline, Regular Season and Offseason issues will focus on the Trade Deadline, Stanley Cup Playoffs & the Draft/Resigning/Free Agency, respectively.
This issue, we will look at the many big name players that changed teams, and take a look at how they're doing with their teams.
** DAVID KREJCI
2019-2020: Boston Bruins
2020-2021: Dallas Stars
36 Games Played
9 Goals, 19 Assists, 28 Points, +8, 8 PIMS
He went from being a stellar #2 Center behind Bergeron, to being a stellar #2 Center behind former teammate Tyler Seguin. Not much to say here
** BRANDON DUBINSKY
2019-2020: Columbus Blue Jackets (61GP, 6-8-14, -16, 36 PIMs)
2020-2021: Florida Panthers (35GP, 10-12-22, +6, 12 PIMs)
Not a name you expected to see, but with the resurgence Brandon is experiencing, it was impossible to leave him off the list. His 10 goals this season is just 2 shy of matching his combined foal total from the last 2 seasons. In his final 2 seasons with the Blue Jackets, he scored 12 goals & 30 points in 123 games. He will be an interesting storyline to follow
** TAYLOR HALL
2019-2020: New Jersey Devils (30GP, 6-19-25, -11, 20 PIMs)
2020-2021: Pittsburgh Penguins (37GP, 17-16-33, +10, 6 PIMS)
As if the Penguins needed another star forward. With Hall on LW, Hornqvist on RW and Guentzel able to play both, the Top 6 Wingers are formidable
** TUKKA RASK
2019-2020: Boston Bruins (41GP, 26-8-6, 5 Shutouts .928%, 2.12GAA)
2020-2021: Calgary Flames (19GP, 10-8-1, 1 Shutout, .913%, 2.77GAA)
Tukka hasn't had the strongest start to his time in Calgary, which ordinarily wouldn't be that bad for Calgary, if there other new elite starter was doing well.
** BRAYDEN HOLTBY
2019-2020 Washington Capitals (48GP, 28-14-6, .897%, 3.11GAA)
2020-2021 Calgary Flames (17GP, 9-6-2, 2 Shutouts, .906%, 2.73GAA)
The other half of the elite duo, Holtby has had a better start, but not quite what we're used to seeing from Holtby.
