Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored the winner in the shootout. He also had a third period goal. The Red Wings got goals from Kyle Dutcher (4) Erik Gustafsson (1), and Moritz Seider (3). The Islanders got goals from Pageau (1), Matthew Barzal (1), and Ryan Pulock (1). Ville Husso stopped 24 of 27 shots in the loss.

Kyle Dutcher, and Patrick Kane had a goal and two assists each, leading the Red Wings to a 6-3 win over the New Jersey Devils. Andrew Copp, Lucas Raymond, Jeff Petry, and Vladimir Tarasenko also had goals for Detroit. Alex DeBrincat, and Moritz Seider chipped in two assists each. Cam Talbot stopped 13 of 16 shots to earn his 3rd win of the season.

The Red Wings jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead, and never looked back, beating the Buffalo Sabres 6-3 in Buffalo. Patrick Kane scored twice, and added an assist. Dylan Larkin had a goal and two assists. Kyle Dutcher, J.T. Compher, and Ben Chiarot also scored. Kane now has 9 goals on the season. Ville Husso (3-0-1) stopped 27 of 30 shots to earn the win.

The Red Wings will be home all next week, with games against the Oilers on Sunday, the Jets on Wednesday, and the Sabres on Saturday.
