How do I change the simulation offense?

Hey guys. My team is every year nr 1 in rushing and we pass very little. While our running game is much better than the pass, how would the passing offense ever develop if we barely do it? I usually play every game but I sim quarters 2 and 3, 14min quarters I think it is. Every now and then I just sim a whole game. Since I pass atleast 50% of the time, my sim AI must be running the ball like crazy...

I tried to change the scheme to "run and gun" but, seemingly, it didnt have any effect. I use a custom playbook, but ive just changed the audibles. It's the seahawks one, is that the problem? Any other ideas?
