Origin Access - how does it work?

So, since I have Madden on PC obviously I have an Origin account. Is there anything I have to do to play the game early? I do not have the Premier version, and probably won't get it just to play the game a few days early.

Re: Origin Access - how does it work?

Only way on PC to get it early (July 25) is to subscribe to Origins Premier.

If Madden is the only PC game by EA that you play...stick to your plan.
If not, you would be a fool not to get Premier.

I am guaranteed to buy Madden and Fifa each year. With the 99 bucks that Premier costs, I'm saving 10 bucks off the jump and thats not counting the other games, I've downloaded through Premier.

Do you keep the games for life or does your access stop once the subscription stops?

The games are accessible when you are paying. When you quit paying for the subscription then the games are no longer accessible.

Hmm sounds like your renting games. Obviously can't trade PC games in but what if you prefer last year's over the new version? Gotta keep paying to play something you'd already have paid for. I know this is the norm now for most big business services but it just don't feel right.

At least for me, it’s very rare that I’m going to play the old version of the game over a new one. Also, at that point, the older game is probably significantly cheaper and you can just buy it the.
